Today, we are going to unveil our organization named ‘WAYVE Foundation’. We chose this day because one year back on this day, a young Dalit girl named S.Anitha resident of Kuzhumur village in Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu committed suicide because of the competitive entrance system. Anitha hanged herself in her house. She was just 17 years old. Anitha was a topper for the State and was keen to become a doctor. But due to the change in NEET entrance introduced by the Central Government, her dream was crushed and we lost a bright star. I will not go deep into this sad incident. But if you want to know more about this incident, then just go on google and type Anitha’s suicide case. Many students across India face similar problems due to the present educational system. Many go through depression and drop out of their studies, career.
Few questions arise in my mind, Why Students in India commit suicide? Do they attempt suicide with their will? Nobody wants to commit suicide by their will. They are facing depression due to loads of pressure in the mind and the important thing is that they are unable to share their problems with family, friends, and anyone.
We started WAYVE Foundation because we don’t want any youth to commit suicide due to any reason and we do not want to lose any S.Anitha, Rohith Vemula, Delta Meghwal, and many more……………
It will be my privilege to lead WAYVE Foundation and overcome youth from depression, suicidal tendencies, etc.
